GM Performance Power Units in Concord, North Carolina is looking for a Facilities Management Intern to join the team for summer ****. This role will support two building locations in Concord, NC. This internship is ideal for a hands-on learner with good attention to detail and an interest in mechanical or electrical systems. Under supervision, the intern will help with basic troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility support tasks while learning industry safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance, including simple troubleshooting and part replacement under supervision.
- Support preventive-maintenance activities by following checklists and instructions provided by the team.
- Help research and organize tools, supplies, and parts needed for maintenance tasks.
- Support maintenance planning by documenting completed work and reporting equipment condition.
- Follow all Safety, Health, and Environmental guidelines while performing tasks.
- Assist with equipment installations, rearrangements, and general facility support.
- Help maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform additional entry-level maintenance tasks and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Current college/university students seeking degrees in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields.
- Experience with high voltage equipment.
- Project management skills or coursework.
- Must have reliable transportation.
