The Accounting Manager supports the Financial Controller in overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, various audits (Including US GAAP and FIA) and internal controls. This role helps ensure accurate financial statements, compliance with accounting standards and efficient accounting processes while leading and mentoring accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements, as well as, month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Support with group reporting and treasury management including cash flow forecasting as required.
  • Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and FIA Financial Regulation requirements.
  • Support with external audits including audit file and evidence preparation, and managing collation of responses to audit queries.
  • Create and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades and process improvements as required.
  • Mentor, train and supervise accounting staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • Experience in public accounting or industry accounting.
  • Experience with multi-entity or multi-location accounting.
  • Knowledge of US and international tax compliance.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
