This is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater London. The Senior Sales Executive will manage the full sales cycle for new and used vehicles, from initial customer contact through qualification, test drives, finance and product presentation, to finalising agreements and handovers. The role involves proactively generating leads, following up enquiries, and maintaining a strong pipeline using the dealership’s CRM systems. The Senior Sales Executive will collaborate closely with the sales, finance, and aftersales teams to meet individual and dealership targets while ensuring an excellent customer experience. Responsibilities also include staying up to date on product knowledge, promotions, and competitor activity, and supporting the mentoring of junior sales colleagues where needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven skills in consultative sales, negotiation, and closing, ideally within the automotive sector or a similar high-value retail environment.
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a diverse customer base.
- Experience with lead generation, pipeline management, and CRM tools to track enquiries, test drives, and follow-ups.
- Good understanding of vehicle features, finance options, and add-on products, with the ability to explain these clearly to customers.
- Ability to work towards and exceed sales targets while maintaining high ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced showroom environment, including weekends and peak trading periods as required.
- Full UK driving licence (or equivalent) and eligibility to work in the UK.
- Previous experience in a senior or lead sales role and familiarity with Motability or fleet/business sales are beneficial.
