The Role
As a Yard Operative, you will play a key role in maintaining the smooth day-to-day operation of the yard while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised yard and customer area.
- Ensuring stock and materials are stored correctly and safely.
- Loading and unloading customer and supplier vehicles.
- Assisting customers with product enquiries and purchases.
- Handling telephone and face-to-face stock and sales enquiries.
- Creating and maintaining clear signage and point-of-sale displays to ensure products are easily identified.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure an efficient workflow.
- Supporting the wider team with various operational tasks as required.
- Saturday working is required as part of the role.
