Part Time Head of Finance

Salary: £150k pro rata

Location: Norwich

Working Pattern: Part time, 3 days a week in office

The Opportunity

Exciting opportunity for an experienced, commercially minded finance professional to join a growing and ambitious business at an important stage of its development. With current turnover of approximately £12 million and a clear ambition to continue scaling towards £15 million and beyond, it is currently structured as an LLP. This role will suit someone who enjoys working closely with the senior leadership team, understanding the wider business and using financial information to influence commercial decision-making. The successful candidate will play an important role in strengthening the existing finance function, improving processes and controls, and providing the forecasting, budgeting and commercial insight required to support the continued strategic growth.

About the Role

Working closely with the Finance Manager and wider management team, you will provide strong financial leadership and commercial support across the business. Existing financial processes and controls are already in place, but there is a requirement to review, improve and ensure they are more robust for continued growth. A key focus of the role will be forecasting, budgeting and financial planning & ensuring accurate, timely and meaningful financial information is accessible to support both short-term operational decisions and longer-term strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Finance Manager and senior leadership team with the financial management of the business.
  • Providing meaningful financial analysis and commercial insight to support.
  • Supporting management accounts and ensuring financial information is accurate, timely and commercially useful.
  • Working alongside the Finance Manager and external tax accountants.
  • Providing financial guidance and support to non-finance colleagues across the business, through its planned transition from an LLP to an incorporated company.
  • Identifying financial risks, opportunities and areas for improved profitability and efficiency.
  • Working collaboratively with wider areas of the business to improve performance and operational efficiency.
  • Contributing to wider business projects and initiatives where your commercial and financial expertise can add value.
  • Supporting the development and capability of the finance team.
