Warehouse Operative in Sheffield

Our client is recruiting for reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join their busy Sheffield warehouse on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on role working across picking, packing and order consolidation, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick customer orders accurately in line with agreed productivity expectations.
• Pack, label and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Consolidate picked items to ensure customer orders are complete and accurate.
• Replenish stock within picking locations as required.
• Check products, quantities and order information for accuracy.
• Identify and report missing, incorrect or damaged stock.
• Use handheld scanners and warehouse systems as required.
• Support stock counts and inventory checks when needed.
• Work flexibly across picking, packing, consolidation and replenishment areas.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work towards agreed productivity targets while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Follow all warehouse procedures and Health & Safety requirements.

The successful candidate:

• Able to commit to the full duration of the temporary assignment.
• Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet throughout the working day.
• Happy to work across picking, packing and order consolidation.
• Able to read and understand English to accurately follow orders and instructions.
• Comfortable using handheld scanning equipment.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Previous warehouse, picking or packing experience would be beneficial, although candidates with transferable experience and the right attitude will also be considered.
