The Role
As a Customs Agent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customs declarations in line with regulatory requirements and internal service level agreements. Working within a fast-paced environment, you will use a bespoke customs system to receive, review, and process declaration forms, ensuring data integrity at every stage.
Key responsibilities include:
- Detailed data entry
- VAT calculations
- Consolidation of complex information from multiple sources
- Identifying discrepancies or errors within declarations
- Making appropriate amendments
- Escalating any areas of concern in line with compliance procedures
- Regular interaction with customers via telephone and email
The Successful Candidate
