The role involves managing the end-to-end purchase of indirect goods, work and service contracts to ensure the effective and compliant operation of the site. The position will also provide support to the purchasing team by assisting with procurement of stock materials.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for site services including facilities maintenance, cleaning, security and waste management.
- Ensure service contracts are monitored and reviewed with the line manager periodically.
- Maintain database of indirect services procured for compliance purposes.
- Oversee site visits of external contractors to ensure safe practices are adhered to.
- Verify that all contracted work is completed to satisfactory standards.
- Manage the planned maintenance of key equipment.
- Ensure waste disposal complies with environmental and public regulations.
- Analyse monthly, annual costs of site services and maintenance and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Place and manage purchase orders for indirect and direct goods.
- Run reports to track and chase overdue purchase orders.
- Interface with other departments to ensure smooth running of operations.
