About the Role
GLS Design is looking for a proactive and highly organised Executive Project Manager to support our Directors while helping deliver exceptional exhibitions, trade shows, and events. This role combines hands-on project delivery expertise with high-level executive support. We are looking for someone who understands the full lifecycle of exhibitions and events from a practical delivery perspective and can confidently take ownership, make informed decisions, and keep multiple work streams moving. You will act as an extension of the Directors, helping manage priorities, communications, and workflow while bringing previous project management experience within exhibitions, trade shows, or events. This is primarily a remote role, however applicants should be based within 1 hour and 30 minutes of Battersea Power Station to allow regular office collaboration and flexibility when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Directors with day-to-day workflow management and prioritisation
- Proactively manage emails and communications on behalf of Directors
- Draft responses and correspondence, and independently respond where appropriate
- Identify actions, opportunities and potential issues before they arise
- Help ensure projects, deadlines and key deliverables remain on track
- Act as a key communication link between Directors and internal/external stakeholders
- Lead and manage exhibition, trade show and event projects from concept through to delivery
- Develop and oversee project timelines and implementation plans
- Manage client quotations and budgets effectively
- Track financial aspects of projects including supplier invoicing, procurement and expenses
- Coordinate with venues, contractors, suppliers and clients to ensure seamless delivery
- Apply previous hands-on delivery experience to anticipate technical requirements and project challenges
- Support event delivery on-site when required
Skills & Experience
- Previous hands-on project management experience delivering exhibitions, events and/or trade shows
- Strong understanding of event and exhibition production processes and technical requirements
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work independently
- Confidence in making decisions and taking initiative
- High attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word
- Full legal right to work in the UK
Nice to Have
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
- Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment
- Experience supporting senior leadership or Directors
Travel
Some travel may be required for onboarding, event delivery, or during periods where project activity overlaps and additional on-site support is needed. This will include travel within the UK and internationally.
