Location: Based in London but will require National travel

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

What We Do: GLP Training delivers a wide variety of educational courses ranging from short courses such as First Aid & Health and Safety up to QCF Apprenticeships in a wide variety of areas including Cleaning and Support Services to Team Leading and Management. GLP Training also offers weekly revision classes for all exam levels at our dedicated training suite here in our Worcester office.

The role:

  • Responsible and accountable to the IQA and Director for the quality of training and assessment to meet the requirements of the associated awards and awarding bodies.
  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring that assessments meet the needs of the above mentioned awarding bodies and that all assessment visits are planned and agreed for, and all assessments are conducted in accordance with expectations of awarding bodies.
  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring that assessment material is relevant and available for standardization meetings.
  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring compliance with the Company's Quality Management Systems.
  • Responsible and accountable for the identification, documentation and implementation of the assessment processes required to achieve the above.
  • Responsible and accountable for ensuring the Company's equal opportunities and diversity policy is followed.

Key responsibilities:

  • Effectively plan assessments to ensure the highest level of support to candidates / learners in the workplace.
  • Complete all necessary assessment documentation to fulfill awarding body and contractual requirements.
  • Review the progress of candidates, providing feedback in a constructive manner to the candidate, Company and IQA. Offer continuous information, advice and guidance to candidates as required to awarding body standards, Al standards and in line with the Company's Quality Management Systems and college funding partnerships.
  • View all evidence generated and gathered by candidates and make fair and accurate judgements in line with Al standards, ensuring evidence is valid, authentic, current, reliable and sufficient.
  • Conduct and complete assessments to agreed timescales.
  • Attend training course(s) commensurate with specific additional job role requirements, the Company or contractual needs.
  • Effectively uphold Health and Safety to the Company's and statutory requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining partnerships with customers, clients, educational establishments and awarding bodies for our mutual benefit.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities commensurate with post and as required from time to time (normally induction of candidates and initial assessments).

The Candidate:

  • Essential: Must have or be working towards Al qualification or equivalent.
  • Appropriate SINVQ qualification in occupational area to be assessed.
  • Meet the requirements of Assessment Strategy for relevant awarding body.
  • Full driving license and vehicle access.
  • Previous technical knowledge and experience gained within a similar occupational environment.
  • Willingness to travel distances that may require overnight accommodation.
