GlowMetrics is a specialist digital analytics and data-driven marketing agency working with organisations across Ireland, the UK and beyond. We help clients improve how they collect, understand and use their digital data through measurement planning, technical implementation, reporting, analysis and digital strategy.
Our team includes Google-certified consultants with specialist expertise across Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and the wider Google Marketing Platform. Our clients range from charities and public sector organisations to ecommerce businesses, international brands and growing SMEs.
We are looking for an experienced Digital Analytics Specialist to join our team and help plan, implement and deliver digital measurement projects across a varied client portfolio. This is a hands-on technical role focused primarily on Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 & Data Studio, alongside related platforms and technologies.
You will work across measurement planning, tracking implementation, analytics audits, troubleshooting, ecommerce measurement, conversion tracking, reporting and client training. You’ll take ownership of your work while collaborating closely with our analytics, strategy, account management and digital marketing teams, as well as clients and external developers.
You should be comfortable opening an unfamiliar GTM container, GA4 property or tracking implementation, understanding what is happening and methodically investigating problems. Just as importantly, you should be able to step away from the technical detail and explain what it means to a client in clear, practical language.
Measurement & Implementation
- Audit existing GA4 and GTM implementations to identify errors, gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot tracking and data quality issues across websites and marketing platforms.
- Work with developers to define, document and test data layer requirements.

- Support projects involving consent management, Google Consent Mode, Enhanced Conversions, server-side tagging and other evolving measurement technologies.
- Design and build clear, accurate and useful dashboards in Data Studio.
- Analyse website and marketing performance to identify trends, issues and opportunities.
- Translate data into clear findings & practical recommendations for clients.
Client & Project Delivery
- Manage analytics projects and deliverables from planning through to implementation, testing and handover.
- Present findings, recommendations and project outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Produce clear measurement plans, implementation documentation and testing notes.
- Deliver analytics training sessions and workshops where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across analytics, strategy, account management and digital marketing.
- Share technical knowledge and support colleagues across the wider team.
- Keep up to date with developments across GA4, GTM, Data Studio, privacy, consent and digital measurement.
- Contribute to relevant content, training materials and industry events where appropriate.
Applicants should have established professional experience in digital analytics and be able to demonstrate strong practical knowledge:
- At least three years’ commercial experience in digital analytics or a closely related technical measurement role.
- Demonstrable experience planning, implementing and testing website tracking.
- Experience configuring GTM tags, triggers, variables, custom events and data layer-based implementations.
- Experience auditing analytics implementations and diagnosing tracking or data quality issues.
- Practical experience building reports and dashboards in Data Studio.
- A working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, regular expressions and browser developer tools.
- Experience using tools such as GTM Preview Mode, Google Tag Assistant and browser network requests for debugging.
- A good understanding of digital marketing measurement and conversion tracking.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
- Experience managing multiple projects, priorities or client requirements.
- Server-side Google Tag Manager.
- Complex GA4 ecommerce implementations.
- BigQuery or SQL.
- Conversion APIs and server-side marketing platform integrations.
- WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce or other ecommerce platforms.
- Delivering client training or workshops.
