We’re a friendly, well-established construction company based just outside Truro, and we’re on the lookout for a Mason / Multi-skilled Mason Operative to join us on a range of rewarding projects across central and west Cornwall.

The role involves working on everything from heritage refurbishments to extensions and conversions – often seeing a job through from start to finish. It’s steady, year-round work with no need to chase your next job.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team, working Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm. Some days you’ll be on one site for weeks, other times you might move between jobs – it keeps things interesting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General masonry and wet trades – blocklaying, rendering, stonework, paving and more – so no two days are the same
  • Follow jobs from start to finish, giving you real ownership of the build
  • Work alongside trusted subcontractors (electrical, mechanical, flooring) – we’re all on the same team
  • Handle setting-out, drainage and light demo work – use your full skillset and stay sharp
  • Flex between working solo and as part of a team – we trust you to do the job right

About our company: We’re based in Threemilestone and work all over central and west Cornwall. Our projects include renovations and conversions, historic building repairs, new builds and extensions. Our clients range from the National Trust to Cornwall Council, healthcare trusts, schools and private homeowners. We’ve built a reputation for doing the job properly – and looking after the people who work for us.

The person:

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Have solid experience in masonry and a mix of wet trades
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Live locally (or are moving to Cornwall soon)
  • Have (or are eligible for) a CSCS card
  • Are happy working alone or with others, and keen to get stuck in
  • Bonus if you’ve got extra qualifications (plant, first aid etc.)
