Head of Conveyancing – Tamworth
Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience.
Location: Tamworth.
We are recruiting an experienced Residential Conveyancer/Solicitor to head up our Conveyancing department in our Tamworth office. The role includes daily management of a team of fee earners and support staff, alongside handling a mixed conveyancing caseload. The suitable candidate will manage progression of cases from inception to completion, liaising with clients, referrers and estate agents. This is a fast‑paced role.
Qualifications and Attributes
- Residential conveyancing experience – working as a Solicitor or Legal Executive managing own caseload of freehold, leasehold, registered and unregistered titles.
- Experience managing a team, contributing to training and developing others.
- High technical ability, proven experience completing title checks and raising/answering enquiries.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide high quality advice to clients from all sectors across a broad range of issues.
- Ability to form good relationships with clients and colleagues and to work as part of an effective team.
- Good IT skills, including the use of a case management system.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced department.
- Maintain high standards in processing client work.
- Commercial attitude with ability to work toward and achieve agreed financial targets.
- Responsible for business development and marketing of the firm.
- Well organised, clear and professional manner.
- Flexible, able to multi‑task and prioritise workloads.
