About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised Officer to join our team, supporting access to education services including school admissions, home to school transport, and free school meals. In this varied and rewarding role, you will help ensure children and young people, especially those from vulnerable backgrounds, can fairly access education and support services. You will play a key part in delivering a high-quality, family-focused service and contribute to improving outcomes for children and young people.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Administer processes relating to school admissions, transport and pupil benefits
  • Assess eligibility for services such as free school meals and transport support
  • Provide advice and guidance to parents and carers, including those who may need additional support navigating services
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, producing reports where required
  • Handle enquiries, correspondence, and complex casework
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to deliver joined-up services

We are looking for someone who is customer-focused, resilient, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.

  • Experience working in a public-facing or customer-focused environment

The role is full time but part time hours will be considered.
