Gloucestershire County Council is seeking a forward-thinking, highly credible senior leader to shape the future of its diverse and complex estate. As Assistant Director of AMPS, you will provide visible, values-driven leadership across corporate, education and rural estates—ensuring they are safe, compliant, efficient and ready to support services and communities for years to come.

You will lead the development and delivery of a long-term asset strategy, oversee major capital programmes, and act as a trusted advisor to Members, Cabinet and senior leaders. Skilled at navigating complexity, building strong relationships and taking people with you, you will balance strategic vision with operational grip to deliver a resilient, future-ready estate.

We are looking for an experienced senior leader in asset management, property or estates, with strong knowledge of compliance, capital delivery and financial stewardship. You will be an engaging, credible presence, able to inspire teams, influence partners and provide clarity in a fast-paced environment.
