About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Specialist Commissioning Support Officer within the Education Directorate. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and project support to the commissioning team. Your primary focus will be on supporting the effective and efficient delivery of commissioned services and contracts.
About You
- Collaborate with the Specialist Commissioning Team to provide administrative support in the planning, development, and monitoring of commissioned services.
- Contribute to the preparation of onboarding providers and associated procurement activities.
- Assist with contract management activities, including monitoring, and supporting contract variations and extensions.
- Maintain accurate records and databases relating to commissioning activities, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist in the development and implementation of commissioning frameworks, policies and procedures.
- Liaise and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including service providers, community groups and partner organisations.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation, policies and best practices related to commissioning, sharing knowledge with the team.
Qualifications And Skills
- Proven experience in providing administrative support in a commissioning or procurement environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- AI skills and fluency would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Proficient in using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Power Point, along with the County Councils internal Capita/Liquid Logic Systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Knowledge of commissioning processes, public sector procurement, and contract management would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies, and regulations with local government would be beneficial.
