About The Role
Work as a key member of the Turn Around for Children and the Family Drug & Alcohol Court (TACS) service, delivering problem‑solving, collaborative court services.
Responsibilities include
- Managing and delivering the Family Drug & Alcohol Court
- Working intensively and therapeutically with families in family proceedings who have addictions and other co‑existing issues such as poor wellbeing, physical health, and relationship dynamics that harm children
- Co‑ordinating with multidisciplinary colleagues (social workers, health visitors, speech and language therapists) to plan and implement interventions in offices, court, homes, communities and schools
- Using therapeutic Theraplay interventions with children, parents and carers
- Acting as a Thrive assessor and delivering therapeutic interventions to support children’s resilience and life‑long outcomes
About You
- Full driving licence and willingness to drive
- DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults and Children’s)
- Completed ASYE year (if qualified after 2012)
- Experience as a Thrive assessor or experience delivering therapeutic interventions with children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a relational approach to working with families
