Are you an enthusiastic individual with a passion to provide excellent service? Are you passionate about ensuring students get the most out of their time in education?

In Gloucestershire, we are committed to developing an inclusive education system where children and young people with SEND receive the right support at the right time and in the right place. Our approach focuses on improving outcomes and ensuring that statutory responsibilities for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) are met to a high standard across the county.

Within our Education, Health and Care Plan service, the team plays a vital role in delivering a high-quality casework function that supports children, young people and their families throughout the EHCP process. As part of this, we work closely with a wide range of professionals, including SENCOs, educational settings, health colleagues and external agencies, to ensure that statutory plans are prepared, monitored and reviewed effectively, in line with legal timeframes and the SEND Code of Practice.

The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, together with the ability to manage a demanding and fast-paced workload while meeting strict statutory deadlines. You will often be the first point of contact for families, responding with clarity, empathy and professionalism, and confidently navigating complex situations to secure positive outcomes for children and young people.

As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we expect team members to contribute to raising the quality of EHCP documentation, support effective partnership working, and identify opportunities to strengthen processes and outcomes. The post also requires resilience, the ability to remain focused under pressure, and a commitment to inclusive practice.

By joining our EHCP team, you will play a key role in shaping the educational journeys of children and young people with SEND, supporting them and their families through a process that has a significant and lasting impact on their lives.
