Gloucestershire County Council are currently recruiting for a Family Support Worker to join our Family Link Plus team based in Gloucester on a permanent basis.

About the role
Working as a Family Support Worker is an exciting, interesting, and rewarding role. Your aim will be to deliver targeted support to vulnerable children and their families to achieve better outcomes and reduce the need for higher level support and long-term demand for services.
You will deliver direct work to children & young people with profound/multiple learning disabilities and additional care/health needs. Direct work can take place in the community, or in the Foster Carers home where you will be working to support a range of interventions.
You will co-ordinate and deliver interventions using a solution focussed approach by building supportive and empowering relationships with families. You will engage children and young people through a range of communication tools/resources, creative and innovative strategies, in line with partner agencies and organisations.

About you
We are looking for someone with experience of working with children, young people, families, and communities to deliver a wide range of interventions. Experience of working with multi-agency assessments and plans is also a must.
A full driving licence and access to a car is essential. The role of a Family Support Worker requires you to work flexibly and will include working evenings and weekends.
