About the Team and Role:

This Business Support Officer role is based at the Front Door of Children’s Social Care and is situated within the Business Support function of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). This is a fixed term position for 1 year.
The Front Door/MASH plays an integral part in supporting Gloucestershire’s most vulnerable children and families, as well as being the first contact point for professionals and members of the public. The Business Support Officers are the first point of contact via email, phone, or the Children’s Services reception.
About you:
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual to join our team, providing essential administrative support within a busy social work environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Handling telephone enquiries
- Taking messages
- Ensuring timely communication with Social Work staff
- Monitoring generic mailboxes
- Picking up and actioning tasks
- Preparing documents using Microsoft Word
- Updating spreadsheets in Excel
- Creating and uploading documents to our bespoke database, Liquid Logic (full training will be provided)
As a customer-facing role, you will split your time between office-based working and at the Barbican Reception front desk, offering a professional and welcoming service to all visitors.
