We are seeking Front Door Advisers to join our dynamic and evolving Children’s Services Front Door in Gloucestershire. This is a pivotal role that sits at the heart of our early help and safeguarding offer. As a Front Door Adviser, you’ll help ensure that every child receives the right support, at the right time, from the right service.

About The Role

You will be:

  • reviewing new contacts and requests to Children’s Services
  • triaging information and identifying levels of need using thresholds and statutory guidance
  • liaising with referring partners across health, education, police and early help to inform your initial recommendations around what needs to happen next
  • providing clear, proportionate advice and recommendations to support decision-making
  • working collaboratively with social workers, early help practitioners, and other professionals to ensure timely and appropriate responses for children and families

This triage activity will sit alongside our co-located Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), working with partners across Police, Education, Health, Early Help, commissioned services for substance misuse and domestic abuse services and Children\’s Social Care.

About You

You will have:

  • experience of working in children’s services or a related safeguarding field
  • strong communication and analytical skills
  • a sound understanding of thresholds of need and the importance of early intervention
  • confidence in working with multi-agency information and providing professional advice
  • a commitment to improving outcomes for children and families in Gloucestershire
