About the Team & Role
If you want to play a role in making Gloucestershire a fairer, greener and more welcoming place, while building your own career, we have an opportunity for you. We are seeking an Infrastructure Supervisor to join our Highways Infrastructure Team, supporting the delivery of our extensive Structures, Drainage and Geotechnical portfolio. Working alongside our existing team and partner organisations, you will help deliver a high performing and reliable highway network. This is a fast-paced and rewarding environment where you will carry out site inspections and audits of contractors delivering infrastructure capital and revenue works. You will also review internal and partner inspections, contributing to robust programmes and future schemes that ensure Gloucestershire's highways assets remain safe and well maintained. You'll need to be proactive, adaptable and ready to think on your feet as you support the delivery of our infrastructure forward programme and play a key role in delivering the Council's vision, A Stronger Future, Built Together.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and driven individual with experience in construction or supervision within the highways sector, ideally within a local authority environment. You will take ownership of your work and bring a positive, professional approach to the team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will work closely with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure projects. You will be confident in reviewing technical work and inspection programmes, with the ability to challenge where necessary and promote high standards. A customer-focused approach is key, alongside strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
