Children & Families Social Worker

Location: Gloucestershire – Stroud
Team: Children & Families
Working Hours: Monday to Friday | 09:00 – 17:00
Pay Rate: Up to £42.00 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Children & Families Social Worker to join a well-established team in Stroud. This role offers the opportunity to work with children and families through timely, evidence-based interventions that deliver meaningful and lasting outcomes.

You will manage a balanced caseload of approximately 18 cases, covering a mix of Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and Children in Care (CIC) work, including some court responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hold and manage a varied statutory caseload across CIN, CP, and CIC
  • Complete high-quality assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions
  • Undertake court work as required, including report writing and attendance
  • Ensure children are seen face-to-face in line with statutory requirements
  • Work in a timely, outcome-focused manner to achieve positive results
  • Build strong working relationships with families, partner agencies, and professionals
  • Flexible and Agile Working
