We are currently seeking a full-time Operations Lead to join the Gloucestershire Careers Hub team initially on a fixed-term basis to 31st August 2027 with the possibility of extension past this time.

About the Role & Team

The Gloucestershire Careers Hub is based in the Employment and Skills Hub at Gloucestershire County Council. It forms part of a network of Careers Hubs across England operating on behalf of the Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC) at a local level in partnership with local authorities. Through our dedicated hub team, and a large network of business volunteers, we support Gloucestershire’s secondary schools and colleges, providing resources and practical advice to help improve careers education.

This role will focus on managing the work with secondary schools and FE colleges and overseeing a team of Enterprise Coordinators and volunteers working to collaboratively improve careers education across the county. In this role, you will lead and manage a CPD offer for teachers and careers leaders and employers that enables focused collaboration, bringing together best practice from both industry and education. You will also be responsible for managing team performance and operational KPI’s set by our funders.

About You

We are seeking an experienced individual who can work strategically with schools, employers and other education partners. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong management skills, be an effective leader able to credibly influence staff and school leadership teams. Ideally, you will have experience of working with secondary schools, colleges or employers and have an understanding of how careers education programmes can be tailored to the needs of diverse groups of young people.
