We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and highly organised individual with strong leadership experience to join our Duty Planning Unit as the Team Supervisor. The Duty Planning Unit is central to the smooth and effective running of our organisation. Our purpose is to ensure that the right people, with the right skills, are in the right place at the right time.
As the Team Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading, supporting, and developing the team to deliver a highâquality planning and resourcing service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide dayâtoâday leadership, coaching, and development for the Duty Planning team.
- Oversee and coordinate the preparation and delivery of resource plans, ensuring they meet organisational demands and priorities.
- Manage the challenges associated with changing operational needs, abstractions, and the longâterm allocation of resources.
- Respond effectively to internal requests and adjust plans to meet Countyâwide, Regional, and National resourcing commitments.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their operational pressures, providing informed advice, solutions, and support.
- Ensure decisionâmaking is transparent, consistent, and aligned with available resources and organisational priorities.
- Attend tactical and strategic meetings to provide current and forecasted resource picture.
- Demonstrates strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and support a team.
- Thrives in fastâpaced environments with multiple, often competing priorities.
- Has excellent communication skills and can build positive working relationships across the organisation.
- Is proactive, solutionâfocused, and confident in making decisions based on complex information.
- Shows commitment to continuous improvement for both the team and the wider organisation.
