We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and highly organised individual with strong leadership experience to join our Duty Planning Unit as the Team Supervisor. The Duty Planning Unit is central to the smooth and effective running of our organisation. Our purpose is to ensure that the right people, with the right skills, are in the right place at the right time.

As the Team Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading, supporting, and developing the team to deliver a high‐quality planning and resourcing service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day‐to‐day leadership, coaching, and development for the Duty Planning team.
  • Oversee and coordinate the preparation and delivery of resource plans, ensuring they meet organisational demands and priorities.
  • Manage the challenges associated with changing operational needs, abstractions, and the long‐term allocation of resources.
  • Respond effectively to internal requests and adjust plans to meet County‐wide, Regional, and National resourcing commitments.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand their operational pressures, providing informed advice, solutions, and support.
  • Ensure decision‐making is transparent, consistent, and aligned with available resources and organisational priorities.
  • Attend tactical and strategic meetings to provide current and forecasted resource picture.
