Our Learning Support team supports learners across Gloucestershire College with a range of additional needs, helping them access their courses, build independence and succeed. As part of a supportive and skilled team, Learning Support Assistants play a key role in creating an inclusive learning environment where every learner can thrive.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support learners with additional needs to access their learning and work towards their individual goals. You will provide flexible, tailored support in a range of settings and help learners build confidence and independence. Working closely with colleagues, families and external agencies, you will record and review progress using college systems. You will also support learners through transitions, including induction and campus visits, and take part in training and development as part of a supportive team.

About You

  • Experience of working with individuals who have additional learning needs or disabilities
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C / Level 2, or a willingness to work towards achieving these
  • Practical experience of safeguarding in an educational or support setting
