We are seeking an apprentice teaching assistant to help support a positive, inclusive learning environment. Working with teachers, you will support children’s academic and personal development, provide pastoral care, and assist with classroom tasks to help every pupil thrive.

What you’ll do at work

  • Support learning – Help pupils with their learning under the guidance of the Headteacher, class teacher, and SENCo, including supporting lessons linked to the national curriculum.
  • Promote well‑being – Encourage pupils’ emotional, social, and moral development by offering support, reassurance, and positive role‑modelling.
  • Provide targeted support – Work with pupils one‑to‑one or in small groups to help them take part fully in learning activities and make good progress.
  • Support behaviour needs – Assist pupils who may be experiencing emotional or behavioural challenges, helping them build confidence and appropriate social skills.
  • Carry out admin tasks – Help with everyday classroom tasks such as photocopying, laminating, organising resources, and keeping materials tidy.
  • Prepare learning materials – Set up, maintain, and organise classroom resources, so pupils have what they need for lessons and activities.
