The predicted salary is between 15600 - 24784 £ per year.

To support the administration of the day‑to‑day functions of the school's business, including working with the School Business Manager, SENCO, Deputy Headteacher, and Headteacher.

Wage: £15,600 – £24,784.50, depending on your age. The hourly rate is £9.27 (Year 1) or £10.85/£12.71 (18‑20/21+ year old) for Year 2. Pro‑rata (Actual) pay is £13,557.

Training course: Business Administrator (Level 3).

Hours: Monday – Friday, term time only. 39 weeks a year, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (37 hours 30 minutes per week).

Start date: 7 September 2026.

Duration: 2 years.

Your duties will include:

  • Responding to emails
  • Supporting the organisation and delivery of events
  • Organising stock
  • Taking deliveries and sourcing goods
  • Data entry into school‑specific software
  • Filing and preparing information packs for events
  • Receptionist/front office duties, including front‑facing interactions
  • Maintaining office/reception environment
  • First point of contact for incoming phone calls
  • Escorting and supervising visitors
  • Safeguarding checks on arrival
  • Communicating with various stakeholders as directed
  • Administering lunch registers

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from work for specialist training. You will study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation, such as MS Office, to write letters, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data. Produces accurate records and documents, including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals, and makes recommendations for improvements. Exercises pro‑activity and good judgment, making effective decisions based on sound reasoning. Builds and maintains positive relationships within the team and across the organisation, and develops coaching skills. Demonstrates strong communication skills (face‑to‑face, telephone, writing, digital platforms), uses appropriate channels, and represents the organisation. Completes tasks to a high standard, continuously improves work, and reviews processes autonomously. Manages priorities and time, sets a positive example, and makes suggestions for improvements to working practice. Manages resources, organises meetings and events, takes minutes and creates action logs, and handles logistics such as travel. Applies project management principles and tools to scope, plan, monitor and report on projects.

Requirements: GCSE in Maths (grade 4) is required. Other relevant qualifications and industry experience are welcome and can be shared.
