You’ll support the finance team by processing supplier invoices, purchase orders & expense claims. You’ll be sales invoicing, credit card reconciliations, month-end reporting & balance sheet support, while occasionally covering daily KPI reporting. Ideal for those who thrive in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday, shifts to be confirmed, 37 hours 30 minutes a week.

Duration: 1 year 3 months.

Your job duties will include:

  • Matching supplier invoices to POs and posting to ledger.
  • Obtaining authorisation and entering of overhead and expense invoices.
  • Expenses, mileage claims and payments.
  • Bank & credit card reconciliations.
  • Taking payments from customers over the phone.

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices. Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary. Plan and review accounting and finance tasks. Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods.

Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks. Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data. Record transactional data.

Requirements: GCSE in relevant subjects. Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Other requirements: Holiday is 23 days per year plus bank holidays. Lunch is provided 4 days a week. Bonus scheme in place after passing probationary period. The role is an immediate start, the course within this begins in September.
