We are looking for a Landscaper to join our team at Tebay Services to perform hard and soft landscaping tasks, keeping our grounds and landscape to the highest standards and ensuring conservation and environmental protection as a priority.
Responsibilities:
- Cutting and strimming of grass (including using ride on mowers, pedestrian mowers and strimmers)
- Control of weeds and invasive species
- Planting of bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees
- Maintain verges, paths, boundary fences and stone walls
- Hedge, branch and shrub trimming and felled trees up to 380mm diameter
- Pond maintenance and planting
- Basic maintenance of tools and equipment
- Additional maintenance duties during winter month(s) including gutter clearance, drainage work or gritting
- Ad-hoc duties as required
Requirements:
This is a part-time role with opportunity for overtime during peak season. Candidates must have experience in a similar role or possess a level 2 qualification. Competency in the use and maintenance of strimmers, ride on and pedestrian mowers is required. The ability to work independently and efficiently, cope with physical demands, and work outdoors in all conditions is essential. Basic IT literacy including Outlook, email, and internet functions is needed, as worksheets are planned and completed electronically. An interest in conservation and environmental protection would also be an advantage.
