Gloucester Rugby, formed in 1873, are a Premiership rugby team based at Kingsholm Stadium in the city of Gloucester.
The Finance Officer role is required to support the day-to-day running of the financial activities of the club. This will include processing transactions for both sales ledger and purchase ledger, cash book entry and nominal ledger postings. The role provides a vital support to the Finance Manager role with ad hoc duties as requested. The role will be the main contact for the credit control function.
Key responsibilities
Administration of the sales ledger and purchase ledger, including managing our automated invoice processing system (SICON).
Production of sales invoices as required including ensuring accuracy of amounts and allocation.
Ensuring VAT is correctly declared on sales and purchase invoices.
Reconciliation of sales ledger account queries and liaising with customers and suppliers as required.
Ensuring accuracy of new and existing customer and supplier records.
Compiling and accurately recording daily banking.
Daily bank reconciliations.
Management of the credit control function as required to ensure timely collection of all amounts due.
Maintaining appropriate electronic and paper records including invoices, statements and remittance advice.
Supporting the Finance Manager.
Any other duties reasonably requested by the management of Gloucester Rugby
