About the Role

We are looking for a Cleaner to join our team at the Museum of Gloucester. This role will work 15 hours per week, predominantly Wednesday to Saturday, 09:00–12:00, with occasional requirements to work on Mondays and Tuesdays as needed. It is a fixed‑term contract lasting 12–18 months.

Responsibilities

You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the museum, ensuring the venue is consistently welcoming, safe and presentable for visitors and staff.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness across museum galleries, exhibitions, public areas and staff facilities, including toilets and offices.
  • Waste management, monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies in liaison with the Operations Team Leader.
  • Promptly reporting any maintenance issues or hazards.
  • Working in line with health and safety policies and COSHH regulations at all times.

We require you to work independently, with strong attention to detail and a clear commitment to maintaining high standards.
