About The Role
Gloucester City Council owns and manages a diverse property portfolio, including community centres, retail parks, open spaces, shopping centres, scheduled monuments, cultural buildings such as the City Museum and Guildhall, the Forum estate, and notable Grade I and II listed buildings. The property portfolio supports all council operations, ensuring properties are maintained to high standards. The role also involves contributing to the council’s health and safety functions.
Your responsibilities include:
- Conducting estate surveys and evaluations
- Identifying when specialist contractors are needed and overseeing their work
- Managing leasing activities, including negotiations for renewals and new tenancies
- Experience with retail property transactions and service charge management is advantageous
- Ensuring compliance with property regulations
- Handling landlord and tenant relations
- Understanding local authority property regulations
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications
