We have a great opportunity for someone to come and join our dedicated team of Vergers.

Full-time 40 hours per week. Flexible working pattern to include Sundays, weekends, and occasional evenings.

Salary Band 8 (£25,018 - £28,000) per annum depending on experience.

Vergers play a vital role in the daily practical running of the Cathedral as a place of worship. The work is varied and engaging, carrying a high level of responsibility. Vergers prepare for services, take an active part in worship, and ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the building. They act as leaders in health and safety and serve as a point of contact for a wide range of practical details.

We are looking for an organised, person-orientated individual with a positive attitude towards colleagues, the congregation, and visitors. It is essential that the successful candidate understands the flexible nature of the role regarding unsociable hours, including weekends, evenings, and overtime when required.
