This is an exciting opportunity to lead a brand-new department in the school that ensures that our students are able to engage in computing at Key Stage 3 and study Computer Science/interactive media at Key Stage 4.

Gloucester Academy, as part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust, is a collaborative one and the successful candidate will be working closely with other schools to share best practice. We are introducing the subject into the school as we believe that students are entitled to discrete lessons to cover the computing curriculum: computer science, digital literacy, and Information Technology. Computing is a growing industry and we are very excited to be investing in it.

The subject will fall within the Technology faculty and it is across this department where CPD and collaboration occur. This is supported by the working groups within the Greenshaw Learning Trust.
