The Role

As our Social Media, Content and Engagement Specialist you will plan, create, publish and manage content across multiple social platforms while actively engaging with client communities. You will work independently on smaller projects and collaborate closely with the creative, strategy and account teams on larger campaigns. This is a client-facing role with ownership of account performance, engagement growth and overall social delivery. You will be responsible for day-to-day client communication, taking part in calls and meetings where required and contributing to reporting and performance updates. The role is hybrid, with collaboration from our Birmingham office and flexibility to work remotely where appropriate.

Contract, Hours and Rate

  • Full-time or part-time opportunities available
  • Contracted position with initial contract and review after 6 months
  • Primary working hours during weekdays
  • Evenings and weekends may be required depending on client needs, flexibility is essential
  • Rate dependent on commercial experience

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management
  • Plan, schedule and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook and X
  • Manage client accounts end to end with clear ownership of performance
  • Maintain consistent brand voice across multiple clients
  • Stay up to date with platform changes, trends and best practice
Content Creation
  • Write engaging captions and develop concepts for short-form video, stories, reels and carousels
  • Work with designers and video creators to deliver high-quality content
  • Manage content calendars and support campaign delivery
Community and Engagement
  • Manage comments and direct messages in a timely and professional manner
  • Build relationships with online audiences and client communities
  • Identify opportunities to increase engagement and visibility
Reporting and Performance
  • Monitor engagement and account performance
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve results
  • Take responsibility for continuous improvement across managed accounts

What We Are Looking For

  • 1 to 3+ years experience in social media, content or community management
  • Experience managing client or brand social accounts
  • Strong understanding of social platforms and online culture
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to tone of voice
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing within a wider team

Portfolio or examples of managed social accounts required. Alternatively, willingness to complete a small task or trial.

As you demonstrate the ability to grow engagement, retain clients and positively impact account performance, you will have the opportunity to manage larger client accounts and take on increased responsibility within the agency.
