Our client is a nationally renowned, long established Furniture Retailer with head offices based in Batley. Their creative team inspire and educate their customers on the life enhancing products they design, manufacture and retail throughout the UK. They are currently going through a rebrand with a new look / feel / website and are looking for a talented Creative Graphic Designer / Artworker to join the design team.

Our Ideal candidate: You’ll already have a good knowledge of design principles and will be able to work to brand guidelines and specific briefs, ensuring that production deadlines are being met and supplying pre-press artwork ready for print. Any knowledge of working on brochures, website banners, leaflets, press ads and digital assets would be a distinct advantage. To be successful you’ll need to be super organised, can manage your own workload and jump between projects as necessary!

Core responsibilities: The main part of the role will be to work across local and national newspaper / magazine press advertising including creation of adverts and maintaining the schedule and sending final artwork to the publications set up to their specifications. Key duties include design / artworking for:

  • National Press Advertising
  • Direct Mail & Point of Sale
  • Brochures
  • Marketing/internal comms collateral
  • Website Banners/Digital assets
  • Retouching of images

Required Skills: Any knowledge of working across national press advertising and digital assets would be a distinct advantage. You’ll be an expert with Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. You’ll have a keen eye for detail when it comes to type-setting, layout and high quality re-touching ensuring a quality finish to all creative output from the studio.

Also required:

  • Experience in a busy studio: ideally in a high-volume retail environment
  • Creation of digital assets
  • Creative / innovative thinking – coming up with new designs
  • Strong organisational skills – to ensure nothing is missed, time is managed effectively
  • Meticulous attention to detail – always checking and checking again
  • Team player – enjoys pulling together

Hours 9am to 5pm with 30mins for lunch Monday to Friday. This role can be a hybrid role offering 1 day a week work from home if required.
