To support the UK business, working with departments to identify potential improvement opportunities. The job holder should be a proactive and confident team player. The role requires technical skills so that reporting can be created, adapted, and maintained. Analytical skills are also crucial as proactive analysis is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Using database reporting tools such as Access, Power BI, Smartsheet, SQL, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint and other reporting tools to prepare reports that measure both internal and customer performance for weekly and monthly publication to internal and external customers.
- Working with a central team of business analysts to maintain and develop a suite of global PBI reports. Some travel may be required.
- Developing local PBI reports.
- Qualify the extracted data in terms of integrity, accuracy and consistency.
- Identify any performance issues relating to service level, cost of delivery or overall efficiency.
- Carry out gap and trend analysis to measure and forecast the impact on business performance.
- Identify potential risk to the business and take the appropriate action that is necessary.
- Use problem solving techniques to clearly identify root cause and effect.
- Quantify improvement opportunities in terms of quality of service, cost and productivity.
- Carry out a cost benefit analysis of potential performance improvement options.
- Be part of an implementation team with the objective of delivering performance improvements across the business.
- Carry out post implementation evaluation and comparison with predicted benefits.
- Communicate benefits and learning points to the senior management team and the wider business.
- Work with other departments and other Glory regions to understand improvement or requirements of reports.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Education Level: Computer and database literacy.
- Experience in a similar role producing key information and business improvement plans.
- Have previous experience within an operational or service environment.
- Qualifications: Educated to Degree level in a relevant subject.
- Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
- BCS Practitioner Certificate in Requirements Engineering.
- BCS Practitioner Certificate in Business Analysis Practice.
- Or any recognised Business Analysis qualification.
