The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role plays a critical role at Flooid in shaping the financial strategy, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring the company’s financial health. The role oversees financial planning, reporting, risk management, accounting, and operational efficiency. This is a senior strategic role at Flooid and a member of the Company’s Executive Board, where you will work closely with the executive team to support business expansion, profitability, and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to support strategic decision-making. Develop and track key financial metrics, to ensure long term viability through close monitoring of Company financial results. Provide data-driven financial insights to drive growth, cost efficiency, and investment decisions. Partner with business units to evaluate financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Accounting & Financial Operations: Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and compliance, ensuring adherence to IFRS, Glory Group Accounting & Controls as well as regulatory requirements. Manage revenue recognition for SaaS subscriptions, ensuring accurate financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, including Glory and auditors. Optimise financial processes through automation and financial technology (ERP, FP&A tools, billing systems, etc.). Ensure compliance with Tax legislation in all relevant jurisdictions, liaising where appropriate with Glory Tax teams in UK and US.
  • Strategic Finance & Risk Management: Develop and execute financial strategies that align with both the company and group goals and support business scalability. Implement and monitor strong internal controls, policies, and governance to minimise financial risks. Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity, ensuring financial health and sustainability. Assess potential risks, including regulatory, tax, and operational risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Business Growth & SaaS Revenue Optimisation: Support pricing strategies and revenue models to maximise growth and profitability. Drive efficiency in subscription billing, contract management, and customer retention strategies. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align financial goals with business strategy.
  • Technology & Operational Efficiency: Implement and optimise financial technology (ERP, FP&A, and analytics tools) to improve accuracy and efficiency. Drive cost control initiatives, ensuring the company remains lean and scalable. Improve financial transparency, ensuring real-time financial insights for executive decision-making.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior finance leader in a retail, SaaS or technology company.
  • Strong expertise in FP&A, accounting, revenue recognition, and financial metrics.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive financial excellence.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; professional certifications as defined by location.
  • The ability to inspire and guide individuals or teams towards achieving organizational goals, fostering a culture.
