A leading financial services institution is seeking a

Senior / Lead Data Analyst to join a business-facing data team.

This role will work closely with stakeholders across the bank to deliver data-driven insights, support strategic decision-making, and help drive the organisation's cloud-based data transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and stakeholder management skills with hands‑on expertise in modern cloud data technologies, data modelling, reporting, and ETL development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data solutions and actionable insights.
  • Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reporting and dashboard solutions for business users.
  • Build and optimise data pipelines and ETL processes within a cloud environment.
  • Support data quality, governance, and data management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, product owners, and business teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement in data analytics methodologies and reporting capabilities.

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst, Lead Data Analyst, or similar role within banking or financial services.
  • Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Advanced knowledge of Big Query for data analysis and optimisation.
  • Hands‑on experience developing and maintaining ETL pipelines using Cloud Composer.
  • Strong Python programming skills for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience with business intelligence and visualisation tools, including:
  • Looker
  • Qlik Sense
  • Excellent SQL and data modelling expertise.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and business analysis skills.
  • Experience working within large-scale enterprise environments
