We are urgently looking for a Projects Lead, to join our client on a 12-month contract. Role will very likely be Outside IR-35. They are based near Euston, and would have a preference for someone who can travel to the office for 2/3 days. They are in the office Monday-Wednesday. However, for the right profile, there can be flexibility.
You will lead and deliver several complex commercial and infrastructure energy projects across the company’s Energy-from-Waste (EfW) portfolio, that include:
- Delivering the project to transition an EfW facility from a private network to an IDNO, working with the landlord, shortlisted IDNO, external legal teams and internal commercial/legal teams.
- Leading the project to enter the UK Emissions Trading Scheme, focusing on UKA hedging and trading.
- Planning and delivering the project to procure a Route-to-Market PPA for an EfW under construction, collaborating with external consultants running the tender and internal commercial/legal teams.
- Managing a market engagement project to sell “net-negative” power from an EfW with carbon capture, working with external consultants running the exercise.
- Completing a project to sell power via a Corporate PPA to a corporate off-taker.
