We’re partnering with a leading investment manager and trading firm to find a DevOps Engineer to join their Security Engineering team. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment where secure, reliable systems are critical to supporting trading activities and managing financial assets.

In this role, you’ll help build and run the infrastructure and tooling that keeps systems secure, scalable, and high‑performing. You’ll work closely with engineering, platform, and security teams to embed security into development and deployment processes without slowing down delivery in a time‑sensitive trading environment.

If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, automating processes, and improving developer experience while maintaining strong security standards, this role offers plenty of scope to make an impact.

Responsibilities
  • Designing and enhancing CI/CD pipelines or supporting teams in adopting GitOps workflows
  • Building internal tools and automation to support platform and data‑driven initiatives
  • Collaborating with security engineers to embed controls (e.g., SAST, DAST) into development pipelines
  • Supporting and improving security tooling, including secrets management platforms (e.g., Vault)
  • Improving observability with better monitoring, logging, and alerting across infrastructure and security systems
  • Automating operational and security processes to reduce manual effort and risk
  • Managing and securing containerised environments (Kubernetes, Docker), ensuring strong runtime protections
  • Contributing to incident response and troubleshooting production or deployment issues
  • Continuously improving system reliability, scalability, and security posture in a high‑availability environment
Requirements
  • Strong coding or scripting skills and a passion for automation
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices
  • Hands‑on experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Solid experience working with Kubernetes and containerised environments
  • Good understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ideally in complex or hybrid environments
  • Understanding of security fundamentals (secrets management, access control, vulnerability management)
  • A proactive, problem‑solving mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering and security teams
