We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Teacher of Chemistry (or Physics) to join our Science Department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, supporting pupils in achieving strong academic outcomes and developing confidence and curiosity in the sciences across the curriculum.

Stonar is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for pupils aged 2 to 18. The school was rated excellent by ISI in October 2018 for pupil achievement and personal development, a standard maintained in our 2023 inspection. Our pupils regularly achieve results beyond expectations, and we pride ourselves on nurturing the learning needs of every individual in a respectful, supportive and globally-minded community. All staff are expected to proactively support the aims of the School.

Stonar is situated in over eighty acres of Wiltshire countryside, twenty minutes from Bath and close to the M4 corridor. Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Chemistry (or Physics) to pupils across the curriculum.

  • Contribute to a supportive, respectful learning environment and work collaboratively within the Science Department.
  • Proactively support the aims of the School and its safeguarding policies.
