Biomedical Scientist Job Description
- Speciality -Multidisciplinary
- Location -Stornoway
- Start date -ASAP
- Contract Length -Ongoing
- Pay Rate -£32-£38 per hour via Umbrella Company
- Band 6
- Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30, potential for some weekend cover Saturday 08:30-12:30 Sunday 09:00-12:30.
- Day to day working in Blood Sciences covering all routine bench work. Work includes using both automated (Roche Cobas, Beckman DxH 800, Sysmex CA 660) and manual techniques.
- Maintaining communications with other departments and Laboratory Manager.
- Stock maintenance and ordering
- Accommodation is available for £25 for 14 days per night, then £18 per night thereafter.
- The client will pay for a one return journey/flight if the Locum stays in the position for more than 2 months.
Requirements
- 1 year(s) post graduate experience
- Valid Passport/Visa
- Fully compliant and cleared to work
- DBS or Police Check
- HCPC Registered
