Nursing Job Description
- Speciality -Mental Health Nurse
- Location -North West London
- Start date - ASAP
- Contract Length - Ongoing
- Salary - £40-50 per hour| Flexible Ad Hoc Hours
- We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Nurse to support children and young people across 3-4 schools in North West London.
- This is a flexible school-based opportunity involving a mixture of assessment and intervention, particularly with young people presenting with complex needs, autism and associated mental health needs.
- Hours are ad hoc and can be arranged around an existing position.
Role:
- Mental health assessments
- Individual interventions and ongoing support
- Supporting children and young people with complex presentations
- Working with pupils with ASD/SEND and associated mental health needs
- Risk assessment and appropriate care planning
- Providing advice and strategies to education staff where appropriate
- Liaising with families, schools and other professionals
- Contributing to a multidisciplinary approach
Requirements
- 2year(s) post graduate experience
- Valid Passport/Visa
- Fully compliant and cleared to work
- DBS or Police Check
- HCPC Registered
- NMC PIN
- NMC-registered Mental Health Nurse
- Experience working with children and young people highly desirable
- CAMHS, community, SEND or school experience advantageous
- Experience with ASD/complex needs beneficial
