Speech and Language Job Description
- Speciality -Speech and Language Therapy
- Location -Southampton
- Start date -ASAP
- Contract Length -Ongoing
- Pay Rates - £25-30 per hour
- To work as an autonomous practitioner providing specialist assessment, diagnosis and evidenced based intervention to children and young people with communication difficulties, within the context of the paediatric Speech and Language Therapy team.
- To work collaboratively with colleagues ensuring multi-disciplinary care planning and intervention.
- To contribute in a timely fashion to the process of assessment and review for EHCP (Education Healthcare Plan) of SEN, Continuing NHS Funded Care, providing specialist reports and attending multidisciplinary meetings as required.
- To deliver effective training programmes to parents/carers and Health and Social care colleagues within area of specialism.
- To contribute to supervision and training of less experienced Speech and Language Therapists, Speech and Language Therapy Assistants and students.
- To maintain local and national standards with regards to maintaining record keeping, activity data, and caseload management.
Requirements
- 1 year(s) post graduate experience
- Valid Passport/Visa
- Fully compliant and cleared to work
- DBS or Police Check
- HCPC registered Speech & Language Therapist
