Biomedical Scientist Job Description
- Speciality - Histology
- Location -Nottingham
- Start date -01/10/2026
- Contract Length -until31/03/2027 (subject to review)
- Pay rate -£20 per hour (£17.39 PAYE rate)
- Band 5
- Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:15, 37.5 hr/week
Essential
- Laboratory experience in Cellular Pathology or Histopatholog.
- Minimum 6 months of exp in NHS hospital setting or private (preferably NHS exp)
- Able to make judgements regarding a range of facts or situations that require analysis. E.g. selection of appropriate samples, tests or techniques
- Ability to judge complex cellular patterns
- State Registered BMS (HCPC)
Desirable
- Membership of IBMS, Biomedical Science degree
- Departmental specific laboratory / advanced techniques
- Training junior staff
Requirements
- 1 year(s) post graduate experience
- Valid Passport/Visa
- Fully compliant and cleared to work
- DBS or Police Check
- HCPC Registered
