Speech and Language Job Description
- Speciality -Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist - Band 5
- Location -Uxbridge, West London
- Start date -ASAP
- Contract Length -12 weeks
- Pay Rates :£21 per hour
- Band: 5
- Hours: 15 hours per week
- We are looking for a Band 5 Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist for a short-term locum position based at Beaufort House, Uxbridge, working within the Hillingdon Community Health Paediatric SLT service.
- The role is predominantly Early Years, supporting pre-school children with speech, language and communication needs across community clinics and Children's Centres.
Key responsibilities include
- Assessing children with speech, language and communication needs
- Delivering appropriate SLT interventions and therapy programmes
- Managing and prioritising an allocated paediatric caseload
- Providing advice, coaching and modelling to parents and education professionals
- Supporting early identification and intervention
- Working collaboratively with nurseries, health visitors, paediatricians and other professionals
- Completing reports, care plans and therapy targets
- Maintaining appropriate safeguarding and clinical records
Requirements
- 1 year(s) post graduate experience
- Valid Passport/Visa
- Fully compliant and cleared to work
- DBS or Police Check
- HCPC Registered
