Speech and Language Job Description
- Speciality -Speech & Language Therapist
- Location -North West London
- Start date -ASAP
- Contract Length -Ongoing
- Pay Rates -£40-50 per hour
- Band 6
- We are looking for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to support a new school-based SEND programme across 3-4 schools in North West London.
- This is a highly flexible locum opportunity and could work particularly well alongside an existing NHS, school or private role. Hours can be arranged around the therapist's availability.
The Role
- Speech, language and communication assessments
- Individual and targeted intervention
- Supporting children and young people with ASD and complex needs
- Mixed SEND caseload
- Developing appropriate therapy strategies and recommendations
- Liaising with school staff, families and other professionals
- Working across a small number of North West London schools
Requirements
- 1 year(s) post graduate experience
- Valid Passport/Visa
- Fully compliant and cleared to work
- DBS or Police Check
- HCPC Registered
- HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist
- Paediatric, SEND, school or community experience
- Experience with ASD and complex presentations desirable
- Able to work autonomously within education settings
