The Company Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client in mining are working together to source experienced and qualified Plant Manager for the operation in South Devon, UK. The Role The Plant Manager will be overseeing the operations of a critical mining plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and sustainable production of tungsten, managing the plant’s day-to-day operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Responsibilities Direct and coordinate all plant activities to meet production goals and quality standards. Oversee the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of plant equipment and facilities. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Foster a culture of safety and accountability across all levels of the plant team. Manage and lead a multidisciplinary team, including operators, engineers, and support staff. Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance. Develop and manage budgets for plant operations. Monitor costs, optimize resource allocation, and deliver cost-effective solutions. Implement best practices to improve plant efficiency, reliability, and output. Lead initiatives for process improvements, technology upgrades, and waste reduction. Report on plant performance to senior management. The Requirements Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Mining, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in plant management within the mining or mineral processing industry, ideally with exposure to tungsten or similar metals. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards in a mining environment. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
